TUFF.EARTH is an international charity that works to empower young people, vulnerable and disengaged communities through music, sport and the arts and, in 2015, received a prestigious Pride of Britain award. They have the support and endorsement of world voices including Barack Obama, The Queen and Sadiq Khan.
In response to the challenging times the world has been facing, they have launched their inaugural songwriting competition to find the International Song for Kindness. The aim of the song contest is to raise spirits – to find songs of hope and optimism- whilst also offering songwriters and musicians an exciting opportunity to gain international exposure and a fantastic prize for the winner.
The Knoydart Songwriting Retreat is honoured to have been invited to curate the jury for them.
In a time when kindness is much needed the competition is searching for songs of hope and optimism. With the deadline for entry being 31st July 2021 the competition has already received over 1,500 entries from 18 countries.
The winners will be announced live at the world famous Cavern Club in Liverpool on 9th October 2021.
