JANEY de NORDWALL

BAFTA award-winning producer Janey has over 25 years working in the film and advertising industry and set up her production company Silver Films Ltd. in 1996.

Alongside producing her own award-winning films she produced music videos and commercials for leading brands in the automotive, computer games & fashion industries including producing commissioned content with David Bowie, Jamiroquai and the Tomb Raider franchise.

She won the BAFTA for 'About A Girl'.

Uniquely connected within the advertising industry, and highly respected within the industries she has worked in, Janey also became a fellow of The RSA in 2017.

Since leaving her career in 2019, Janey ventured out on a six-week solo roadtrip around the west coast of Scotland and the Outer Inner Hebrides in her 1970's VW campervan with her cat and bike. She has written and published her first book - FROM A WONKY PATH TO AN OPEN ROAD. It was on this journey that she found Knoydart and has now relocated to this magical peninsula.

Janey produces and hosts all the Songwriting and Photography Retreats and thoroughly enjoys cooking delicious home-cooked food, with local produce, for everyone during the retreats.

DUNCAN LEWIS

Duncan has a 30 year career working within the music industry. 

As a manager he has represented artists, groups and songwriters and secured major and independent publishing and recording deals. He has supported artists in their development from raw ambition to chart success in both the UK and International markets. He has extensive experience in artist development and A&R working alongside and with industry leaders.

As a producer Duncan has been involved in numerous recording sessions and produced the Delays hit debut album ‘Faded Seaside Glamour’.  Artists that he has represented have worked with top line producers and he has also produced live radio sessions for both national and regional broadcasters.

He has years of experience working in the live arena, advancing the logistical and budgeting of tours and tour management. In collaboration with headline companies he has covered tours, festivals and promotional commitments in the UK & Europe, USA, South America and Japan, working from the smallest of club tours up to the main stages at major festivals.

He is now a lecturer at SAE Liverpool lecturing in Music Business BA [Hons].
