Known as Britain’s last great wilderness, the Knoydart peninsula offers a landscape like no other. A truly magical place.

Inverie is the main village on the peninsula - home to approx. 110 residents and the most remote pub in the British Isles – The Old Forge. Situated on the west coast of Scotland, you’ll find no roads in and no roads out of Inverie. Access is by boat or, for the more adventurous, a two-day hike.

Your six-day photographic adventure begins the minute you step off the boat onto Inverie pier where the Land Rovers will be waiting for you.

Over the course of the six-days, Julian Calverley and the Knoydart Rangers will take you to most extraordinary locations in this remote wilderness.  Munroes, lochs, waterfalls, views of Skye, Rum, Eigg and Muck, sunrises, sunsets, storms, sunshine, rainbows, bonfires - all crying out to be captured by you.

Julian will run daily masterclasses on all aspects of photography especially the art of post production.

You will be thoroughly spoilt by Janey and Duncan who run The Knoydart Retreat and you will stay in a large white private house, owned by a Lord, on the shores of Loch Nevis (which is Gaelic for Heaven) and heaven it is. Your stay is fully catered with a daily full cooked breakfast, packed lunches, baked afternoon teas and a two-course dinner each evening. One evening we’ll take you down to The Old Forge for dinner.

This will be an all weather, all terrain photography adventure so you'll need to have good fitness and enjoy the possibility of getting wet and be able to be up and ready to catch the dramatic sunrises.
